‘Idiocracy’ Becoming Reality

Yesterday, I was at the subway station waiting to go home after a long day, and a cool pair of yoga pants caught my attention. They were black, with a sheer part on the thigh, and a bronze colored stripe around the calf.

Immediately after thinking about where this young woman could have bought these pants, I noticed she was devouring a fast food hamburger and had a bag of food in her other hand. I was a bit confused.

Obviously, she had just come from some workout, but then as soon as she burned off some calories, she ate a hamburger and chicken nuggets from a fast food chain. There could not have been much, if any, nutritional value in her post-workout meal. And whatever workout she did was then wasted.

I do not understand people who say they want to be healthy and then have unhealthy habits.

Another example of this is when a friend of mine eats a balanced diet, exercises regularly, but also smokes cigarettes.

This song comes to mind:

End lyrics:

“the agony and the irony, they’re killing me
i’m not sick but i’m not well
and i’m so hot cause i’m in hell
i’m not sick but i’m not well
and it’s a sin to live so well.”

Thank you Harvey Danger.
