Movie Review: Plan B (2021)
It’s not too late…
That’s usually the whole idea behind the Plan B pill, but I mean it’s not too late for you to watch one of the best movies of 2021. I know the Marvel universe (multi-verse?) has taken over the queues of many film fans, but add this one to your list!
I remember anticipating this movie back in the Spring, as hope seemed to have spread with COVID-19 vaccinations, and the idea that the Summer would take the world back to a somewhat normal place. I know everyone feels like the past two years have been a blur, but my viewing of this film could not have come at a better time! So I am a little late to the game, but with all the crazy crap Planned Parenthood and Roe v. Wade has gone through lately, I feel like this movie reignited my fire to fight for reproductive rights!
I’m a huge advocate for Planned Parenthood, and want others to understand that we have to get involved if we want to avoid The Handmaid’s Tale from becoming a reality.
The fact that Plan B contraceptive is not easily accessible for everyone is appalling! This story takes you on an adventure that is hilarious and also heartfelt. Please take the time to watch it and support your local Planned Parenthood.
Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 96%, and it’s available on Hulu.
