Good Job

I recently started dating using apps and it has been fun! I wrote a post about it a few weeks ago: https://medium.com/@phoebeglen01/dating-apps-self-reflection-4222440f3e6e?

I am still navigating modern dating, and am surprised at how sometimes I feel like an outcast because I don’t care about status. I am in my early 30s and I have housemates; not a place of my own. I don’t have a car. I have never been married. I do not have kids.

Almost two years ago, I wrote the following post: Letting Go of Labels

I find it odd, that the feeling I sometimes have during dating, is similar to attaining a gold star of approval in grade school.

Is it just me?

To be clear, I am perfectly fine with the life I am living. I find it disappointing that people seem to expect more from me.

Why would I want to be like everyone else?

I believe we all get to our ‘destination’ at the right time. So stop comparing!
